Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Women marry men with the hope they will change. Invariably they are both disappointed. ―

Albert Einstein

What is it that irritates men the most? I stopped for a moment to think about it after endless talks with my male friends from a wide range of ages and backgrounds… Surprisingly, they all seem to have pretty much the same list of things they dislike in women’s behavior.

We were talking about things that irritate us in relationships. We also were talking about solutions and ideas for improvements. Let me introduce you to the top 12 things men dislike about women.

12 Things Men Hate About Women

1. Spare time?
I thought it’s “Me Time”?!
Ok, I must admit, it’s a natural desire to be as close as possible to our loved ones. We want them to be there for us, to share our good times and bad times… We want them to be there for us CONSTANTLY. No, interruptions.

But when a woman thinks that all the spare time her man has should be devoted only to her – that’s when the irritation begins. Girls, understand that your man loves you very much and when he wants to spend some time doing his own thing or devote it to a hobby – it doesn’t mean it should be taken as an offence. Who are we if we don’t have our interests, hobbies and things to wonder about?! It develops us giving us more topics to discuss and more reasons to admire each other.

Every once in a while we need our space to breathe. And it’s completely ok. He wants to go out and catch up with his mates? So what? Let him. No need to tag along. Every one of us needs a close net of connections. If he just came back from work and decided to read a book he was trying to start for a couple of months now – let him. Let him be on his own and on his own terms and he will be grateful.

Don’t worry, he will, in fact, dedicate you his time with a lot of gratitude for letting him be himself….

2. Broken nail ain’t good reason to cry
Men are easily irritated by excessive emotions women may express. Broken nails and heels smashed perfume bottles on bathroom tiles and endless cries over some soaps you may have made him watch is far from the whole range of emotional roller coasters you can take him on for a ride in your very own “amusement park”.

Too many emotions about little things may seem totally adequate for women but for men it’s too much drama. Try to be less emotional about things that don’t matter. Perhaps, stop for a moment and think “will I still be upset about this tomorrow and a week from now?”. If the answer is no then it is not worth spending your energy on splashing out too many emotions on it.

3. Talking Much?!
Loud and endless giggles, over-excitement and never ending talkativeness. “Seriously?! Does she ever shut up” – shared Mark, when he met a girlfriend of our mutual friend. I didn’t understand back then why he was so upset whenever he would come across a person like that. “I just can’t stand people making all that pointless noise! Why all the perfect silence should be filled with stupid and obvious comments, giggles and general over excitement” – Mark continued. There is no need to state the obvious and be loud about things that don’t matter. In fact, being loud and talking too much about meaningless things is very annoying to everyone in general. Why talk much? Why can’t we speak only when it’s meaningful?

4. Communication Maniac
“It boils my nerves whenever she calls every 10 minutes or sends me meaningless messages! Is there any polite way to say that enough is enough?!” – Bill, 29/NY
Seriously girls. Is that necessary to call him this much all the time? Bugging him and checking every tiny little detail during your day?! Really?! Think twice before annoying the hell out of him especially if he is in the middle of something really important and doesn’t have time to pick up the phone or text you back.

Men do not like that much attention when it is over the top. To them, it lingers at the borderline of obsessive, demanding and jealous. You don’t need to keep him updated about every move and every little detail, just as you don’t need to know what he is doing, where he is and what he is thinking about right now every minute of the day. Give him some space. Give him some time to miss you.

5. Nagging
Is it really necessary to nag him all the time about not helping you around the house and then when he actually does, to find a new reason to say that what he did was not good enough?! Do you think he enjoys all the dirty chores you put him up to do: taking out a trash, washing the dishes, hoovering, tidying up the garage just because you are not happy how his tools were organised? He doesn’t and he only does them because he can’t take that nagging anymore. Try thanking him for everything he does instead. You will see a drastic change in his behaviour if he feels appreciated for doing all these things. Less nagging, more appreciating and gratitude, please.

6. Were You Licensed to Spy?!
“Ooh, I just want to smack her across her face whenever I see her snooping through my personal stuff, Facebook or phone. Is it really necessary?! ” – Mike, 26/San Diego
Who gave you the licence to spy and always search for something incriminating?! What’s up with this obsession? Understand that such a behaviour will just make him become more private and reserved for you and the end result will be that he will trust you less. He is with you, he loves you. This is what counts. And every person needs its own space. We need to remember and respect that.

7. Embarrassing Storyteller
“I actually broke up with one of my girlfriends because she had this stupid tendency to tell an embarrassing story in front of my family and friends. She just couldn’t help herself… ” John, 27/London
If you are downgrading your boyfriend or speaking badly about him behind his back – the only conclusion people will make is how foolish you are “to be with such a horrible person” that you described. Do you need that “record” on your consciousness? The only thing people should ever hear is how lucky you are to have such a great person by your side… Many people don’t and they are not as lucky as you to find a match and be together with someone special… Praise your man and he will be forever grateful.

8. What Are You Thinking About NOW?!

Why is it important for you to know his exact thought process right this very second? The whole question itself is ridiculous and irritates the heck out of even the calmest and all-forgiving person.

9. Make-up overdoes vs. Natural
Men don’t particularly like long nails, artificial hair, and excessive makeup! They love natural looking girls. The natural look is always more attractive to men and it tells them more about you than anything else. Even though you might think they all like women who wear slutty clothes – believe me, they prefer stylish and humble ones on you!

10. Healthwise
Men hate all these endless talks about modern diets, especially when they don’t see the results of your hardships. They want to see you healthy and good looking. Remember, most of the time men love with their eyes so anything you are doing to improve your looks and health will make them even more attracted to you.

11. Fashionably late?! Leave it to those who reads cosmopolitan!
Seriously! Stop being late if you are always late! There is no beginning to explain how distasteful it is not to respect other people’s time and make them sit and wait for you while you have the luxury to be “fashionably late”. There may be different reasons why you are late but when your time management and lack of self-discipline makes you late all the time – it has to change. Especially if you are late for your first date… Because it can be your last with that person.

12. Cultureless
If a woman has a bad taste in clothing, uses swear words in conversations, has a poor general knowledge, doesn’t care about self-development, doesn’t read books and knows nothing about any subject in more depth – that’s just too bad. Men are generally bored with lightheaded and stupid girls. And it’s just a matter of time until he will wave goodbye or kick her so hard out of his life that she will end up in a public library for a change and not on Facebook procrastinating and wasting her precious time!

Develop, grow, be interested and be interesting as a person and a man will never be bored or irritated by a girl like this.

In the world of dating, relationships have become the key element. It has become a fundamental part of every couple's and a way of life for the youth. More than just friendship between two opposite gender is a relationship based on the platform of unified and unbiased love, intimacy and an assurance that leads to marriage. Dating is more than just getting married as it makes couples to be emotionally satiated either by erotic feelings and cesual pleasure

Various relationship are time abiding while some doesn't. This is an uncertainty that can't be justified. In fact, it is sane and recommended for couples to breakup if they don't have enough understanding and emotional intelligence to sustain the relationship. Breaking up in a relationship doesn't equate divorce. After all, it's just a date.

However, people don't wish to experience such odds in their relationship as it is not everyone that can withstand rejection. In fact, it's better not to be loved than to be loved and rejected, it give birth to isolation and hefty intimidation.

Making a relationship last longer depends on the individuals that are into it. The parties involved will determine whether the relationship will last or not.
Moreover, many relationship have failed due to the lack of integrity among the two partners involved.

Whenever such happen, common question I get are....

Can I make my boy friend not to think about leaving me?

Can she stay with me for long?

Does relationship lasts?

Is there a string attached?

Of course the answer is yes...

FEW TIPS FOR A LONG LASTING RELATIONSHIP
  • Mutual understanding
  • Trust
  • Discipline
  • Avoid cheating
  • Sharing ideas and thoughts
  • Sharing and tackling problems
  • There must be an income
  • Parents awareness (optional)
  • Maturity

  • Mutual understanding: This is however the basic foundation for a long and lasting relationship. There must be a mutual understanding between the two partner. They should be able to understand the need to forgive one another. Understanding has a way of extending a relationship.
  • Trust: This is another tip for a good lasting relationship. Trust tends to energize the relationship by creating a straightforward approach among the partners. In a situation were there's no trust, the relationship breaks. If the guy always thought of how the lady will act when he's not around that's being jealous and of course no trust for the lady. Same as the lady and vice versa.
  • Discipline: This entails on self respect when there is no regard or discipline, the relationship results to breakup since no one respects each others principle.
  • Avoid cheating: Cheating among each other must not occur. One should be satisfied for the others feelings for the relationship to last. In a situation were a partner is found to be cheating on the other might result to breakups.
  • Sharing ideas and thoughts: Ideas and thought should be made open to each other to work upon. Feelings and emotions should also be involved. No partner should be left out in a relationship. Both partners must involve while sharing their thoughts and idea as it's for mutual benefits. Example is maybe the lady thought of a better way of making some cash, she should involve her partner about her thought towards the matter.
  • Sharing and tackling problems: Just as aloftly mentioned, problems should be made known to each other to be tackled. No one should keep the whole problem all to his/her self. Maybe if the guy is having some educational or family related problems ,he is meant to share it with his girl, same as the lady.
  • There must be an income: Yea right ... Income you heard me. There MUST be an income stream. Nowadays, relationships are not meant to be managed. The partners must involve in something that will be fetching money for them. That's when both can enjoy the relationship without thinking about breakups. Some breakups are mostly lack of fund. Maybe the lady is over dependent or maybe the guy doesn't have at all.
  • Parents awareness (optional): This is optional but for a nice relationship it should involve the two partners parents. Their parents will get to know who their son or daughter is dating. This is important in case tomorrow maybe the lady got pregnant there shouldn't be much to handle since the parents are aware about the two. Not saying that they should have baby because their parent is already aware of the relationship.
  • Maturity: Learning the fact to forgive and overlook certain mistakes among themselves. Maturity also means not being that jealous for the other partner maybe one of them saw the other one with another guy or girl chatting along. No, its meant not to be that way.

This great tips can foster any relationship to last longer if engaging individuals carefully allege to the hints provided so far.

Reports from Sahara Reporters has it that President Muhammadu Buhari and wife, Aisha, were prevented by some cabals from seeing each other during her visit to London.

The report further said that even Buhari’s body guards and aids were kept away from him; and that claims that he has called his Vice cum Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo is false.

Read the full report below…

President Muhammadu Buhari was not allowed to see his wife during her recent visit to the United Kingdom, presidency sources informed SaharaReporters on Tuesday. In the stunning disclosure, the sources affirmed that the president has been kept away] from several of his aides and even those bodyguards who supposedly traveled with him.

The President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who also frequents London to take care of himself, is still the manipulator-in-chief, according to the sources.

Furthermore, SaharaReporters learned that Mr. Buhari has not spoken to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for several weeks following his departure from Abuja for a second round of medical treatment for an undisclosed medical condition suspected to be cancer.

The sources gave the example of Wednesday last week when members of Buhari’s cabal called the Acting President and asked him to await a call from the ailing President, pointing out that no such call was received except one that was just a few seconds of hellos before the person hung up the phone.

SaharaReporters also learned that the public declaration by Orji Uzor Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State, that he met Buhari in London is a complete fabrication as Buhari did not at any time receive the Mr. Kalu, who recently decamped to the president’s All Progressives Congress party.

One particular presidency source told SaharaReporters they suspect Kalu was using that gimmick to intimidate the judge who is trying him for corruption, considering that he wore a turban to court a few days later.

Our sources confirmed that Buhari is incommunicado, and is only reached by two aides, Tunde Saburi and Sarki Abba, who have maintained stoic silence about his condition.

It is notable that when Mrs. Buhari returned from her recent trip, she sent messages to her family members in Adamawa claiming her husband was recovering fast but asked for intensification of prayers.

The cabal reportedly reduced access to Buhari in an effort to control information leaks to the public. They cabal reportedly as far as forging Buhari’s signature so as to give the impression that he is still in control even after Buhari himself had handed over power to his vice, trying to create the impression that he is still in charge.
Mr. Kyari is said to be in charge of all the behind-the-scene moves. It was he, they claimed, who a few days ago passed a fake document to Garba Shehu, one of Buhari’s spokespersons, claiming that Buhari had given Osinbajo the go-ahead to sign the 2017 budget.

According to their account, Osinabjo had already decided on the date he would sign the budget, a decision that was delayed only by a last-minute discussion to include some projects such as the Lagos-Apapa Port road repairs. They said they were not surprised at Mr. Shehu’s fake statement claiming Buhari sent a letter granting the Acting President the right to sign the budget.

Buhari is said to be rather unaware of his environment, his memory somewhat affected. For instance, on his way to the UK, he was said to have asked if he was on his way to Sokoto.

Our sources said that the cabal working with Buhari might bring him back the same way he was returned in February, in a scheme to use his presence to perpetrate more fraud and control power.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, Tuesday had a closed door meeting with some Northern leaders at the state house Abuja. Osinbajo called for the meeting following the recent call by some Northern youths for Igbos residing within the region to relocate on or before October 1st.

Speaking at the meeting, Osibanjo said the ultimatum by a group of Arewa youths could not be ignored and would not be tolerated as the hate speeches if not stopped, could throw the nation into serious crisis.

The acting president in his speech, said:

As a government, we are determined to ensure the unity of the country along the lines of our Constitution and I want to say that hate and divisive speech or divisive behaviour where it is illegal will be met with the full force of the law. I want to ensure that there is no doubt at all that it is the resolve of the government that none will be allowed to get away with making speeches that can cause sedition or that can cause violence.

This is especially because when we make these kinds of pronouncement and do things that can cause violence or destruction of lives and property, we are no longer in control. Those who make those speeches are no longer in control. So I want to emphasize that government will take very seriously any attempts to cause violence or disrupt the peace of this country.

And that is very important because you cannot control violence once it begins. These days, wars do not end and I am sure that those who have seen or experienced war in any shape or form will not wish it on their worst enemies.

This is not a time to retreat behind ethnic lines, moments like this are not for isolating ourselves. I want to urge all of us here and the entire Nigerian populace to come together and work together” he said.

Osinbajo will first meet the Northern and South East leaders separately on different days this week and then meet them together afterwards.

Present at his meeting with the Northern leaders today were Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara; Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonishakin; Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum and former Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Comassie, spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum Prof. Ango Abdullahi, former governor of Sokoto State, Aliyu Wamako, former deputy governor of Plateau State, Pauline Tallen; Publisher of Leadership Newspapers, Sam Ndah-Isaiah and others.

Seven things you should know about Moji Olaiya The family of the late Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, on Monday, released a statement which reads that the autopsy conducted on her remains showed that she died of a ‘natural medical cause’.

Moji’s brother, Femi Olaiya, on behalf of the family, dispelled rumours that the late actress was posioned in Canada where she was delivered of a baby girl in Feburary.
However, doctors, who spoke with our correspondent on Monday, said that the autopsy report suggested that the late mother of two must have died of a traceable and demonstrable medical cause.

A medical consultant with the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Dr. Adeoye Oyewole said, “Someone is said to have died of a ‘ medical cause’ when there is a traceable and demonstrable medical pathology that is related to the death. The term ‘natural medical cause’ is not medical.

For instance, if the person had suffered a heart or cardiovascular event just before he/she died, that is a traceable medical cause. If the person also had an underlying medical condition like an enlarged heart but an event triggered a shock to the system to have caused the death, it is also a medical cause.

A cardiologist with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Dr. Afolabi Akinkunmi, corroborated Oyewole’s views, saying there was always a medical cause to every death; and an autopsy was usually carried out to establish the exact or underlying cause of the individual’s death.

Akinkunmi said,
There is always a medical cause for every natural death. If you have any doubt, then the autopsy report is conducted and the coroner will state it on the death certificate.

Another expert. Dr. Babajide Saheed, noted that a person who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest or a condition that shuts down the brain or nervous system in a short time is said to have died of a natural cause.

Saheed said, “There is always a medical pathology to every natural death. So a natural death means that there is nothing you could have done to help the individual, such as if the person experienced a sudden cardiac arrest and died even before getting to the hospital."

If a person that has a terminal disease such as leukemia dies, it is a natural death because there is nothing you could have done for the patient. These are natural deaths with a traceable medical pathology.

Nigerian superstar Wizkid will be on the cover of US Hunger Magazine, as they wrote a cover article on him titled: “How WizKid is redefining pop and uniting young people from Lagos to London.”

In a recent chat, the Ojuelegba singer revealed that all he wants is to make good music for the world, but he still doesn’t want to cross over to the international scene just yet, as he already has an African Fanbase.. and he knows what African wants.

On filling Fela’s Footsteps, Wizkid said he’s not interested in solving the problems of an increasingly messy and depressing nation; he just wants to give you a vehicle to escape them for a while, via an upbeat, global sound and rhythm, uniting young people from Lagos to London.

The North has accused Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, of fueling the latest crisis between the Northerners and the South-Easterners, that is currently threatening the country’s unity.

A Second Republic Lawmaker, and Elder Statesman, Junaid Muhammad, maintained that Osinbajo’s silence in tackling groups making inflammatory statements, is tantamount to irresponsibility.

Muhammad made the remark while speaking at a Public Lecture, organised by the Mumbayya House, with the theme, “Electoral Democracy and Integrity in Nigeria, Reflections on INEC Transformation 2011-2015”, in Kano.

He said: “I must make it clear that lack of brutal frankness on the part of government, especially the Acting President, when it comes to national issues, appeared to be fueling these drumbeats of war.

Recall, that the Spokesperson of the Northern Coalition group, Coalition of Northern Youths, Abdulaziz Suleiman, had ordered the Igbos to vacate the region, in three months.

Speaking last week Tuesday, Suleiman had said the entire Northern Nigeria was tired of coexisting with the Igbos, and asked that “all Igbos currently residing in any part of Northern Nigeria, are hereby served notice to relocate within three months, and all Northerners residing in the East, are advised likewise.

“The persistence for the actualization of Biafra by the unruly Igbos of South-Eastern Nigeria, has lately assumed another alarming twist, which involved the forceful lock down of activities, and denial of other people’s right to free movement in the South-East, by the rebel Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and its overt and covert sponsors.”

“Various ethnic groups and individuals have been making remarks capable of breaking the unity of Nigeria, but I haven’t heard the government as the epitome of statehood, calling people to order”, Muhammad added.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki released a statement on his acquittal on 18 count charge of false asset declaration.

Read his full statement after the cut:

Today, June 14, 2017, the Code of Conduct Tribunal sitting in Abuja discharged and acquitted me on a case of false declaration of assets, which started in September 2015.

You would recall that at the beginning of the trial, I maintained that I will clear my name. The conclusion of this trial has vindicated my position. With the outcome of this case, our faith is renewed in our courts and our hope is restored that the judiciary in our country could indeed provide sanctuary for all those who seek justice.

I thank the Almighty Allah, the ultimate Judge and the repository of all powers. He alone has brought about this victory. I am immensely grateful to all my colleagues in the National Assembly for their abiding support.

All through my trial, they demonstrated their strong conviction about the choice we all decided to make two years ago. I thank members of my family for their unflinching support.

I thank all friends and supporters back home in Kwara State and across the length and breadth of our country for their prayers and their sacrifices. My gratitude also goes to all members of my legal team for their tireless efforts to ensure the cause of justice is served.

After undergoing the crucible of a tortuous trial, my vindication today calls for celebration. It is my belief however that if there should be any celebration at all, it should be a celebration of the hopes that this judgment gives us as citizens that despite all the challenges that we face as a country, we are well on our way to building a country where the innocent needs not be afraid.

I therefore urge all my supporters to refrain from any unbridled triumphalism. The challenges that our country faces today are enormous and do not allow for wanton celebration. Instead, we should all reflect on the significance of this moment and what it meant for our democracy.

On a personal note, I harbour no grudge against anyone, regardless of the role they might have played in the persecution that I had endured in the last two years. I believe that If my trial had in anyway given hope to the common man that no matter the forces arraigned against him, he can still get justice in our courts, then my tribulation had not been in vain.

Once again, I thank my colleagues in the 8th Senate for standing firm. Regardless of the distraction of my trial, we have achieved more as legislators than the previous Senates. Now that this distraction is over, we can even achieve so much more. We must now proceed from here with greater vigour to deliver on the expectations of Nigerians and show that this 8th Senate can indeed play a central role in improving the quality of lives of our people.

Lastly, I thank all the gentlemen of the press for your abiding interest in this case, which I believe had contributed in no small measure in ensuring that truth and reason ultimately prevailed.

Last weekend in England, Folarin & Naza’s Alakija’s white wedding was celebrated with a lavish bash at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

Their story has made it to DailyMail and the thousands of pounds Folarin, who is one of Mrs Folorunsho Alakija’s four sons, & his Iranian beauty wife Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifa spent to have a fairytale wedding also revealed.

Folarin’s mum, Folorunsho Alakija is one of the richest black women in the world so it’s little surprise that Folarin Alakija’s wedding was a fairytale affair.

It has emerged that Folarin & Naza’s wedding which held at Blenheim Palace had one million roses which were done by Jeff Leatham.

Jeff commands up to £250,000 (N114million) for flowers and has worked for Madonna, Oprah and Tina Turner. Jeff was also the man behind the flowers at Eva Longoria and Tony Parker’s wedding.

The cost of hiring the whole Woodstock wedding venue, which is the ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill, is only on application but hiring just the palace and state rooms costs £33,000 (N15million).

The cake, which was adorned with hundreds of roses and ornate doves, was created by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium.
Prices start at £300 per tier and Elizabeth’s clients include British, European and Middle Eastern Royalty, celebrities and high net worth individuals.

With eight tiers on their cake, the base price Folarin & Naza would have paid for their magnificent cake would be around £2,400 (N1.1million) – and that’s excluding the elaborate iced flowers and doves.

Guests at the wedding were also treated to a surprise performance from Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke, who reportedly costs around £150,000(N68.2million) to hire.
Apart from the magnificent firework display in the hotel grounds later in the evening,  the A-list guestlist included amongst many, Victoria’s Secret Angel, Shanina Shaik.

Father-of-one Folarin Alakija is an entrepreneur, investor and cinematographer who lost his first wife to cancer.

Folarin’s new wife studied Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Manchester, has a graduate Diploma in Law and has also worked as a model and marketing consultant.
She stunned in a traditional strapless white gown with lace embellishment as she was walked down the aisle by her father. She accessorised her look with a dazzling diamond necklace and white Manolo Blahniks.

She later changed into a racier, floor length white gown with sheer panelling. She let her hair down as she danced the night away with her new husband and glamorous wedding guests.

The pair became engaged last year and had a traditional Nigerian wedding in Lagos in November.

Forbes ranked Mrs Folorunsho Alakija as the 14th richest woman in Africa and number 80 on its Power Women list; she overtook Oprah Winfrey as the richest woman of African descent in the world in 2014.

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar moved quickly to clear any confusion about reports stating she had cancer.

Halima had shared photos of herself with her head shaved, leading to the cancer speculation.

However, she prayed that those spreading false information about her health to desist from doing so.

If I have cancer, just the way I announced my fibroid, I would announce it,’ she wrote.

‘I would appreciate the non factual information and speculation about my health to stop. Allow me heal in peace!’

The Senate president, Bukola Saraki, says he would win at the Appeal Court where the Federal government has filed a petition challenging his acquittal and discharge by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
The tribunal had on June 14th discharged and acquitted Saraki of all charges relating to his case of false assets declaration.
The tribunal held that the evidence put forward by the prosecuting team were not enough to find him guilty.
Upon receiving the judgement, the Federal government filed an appeal against the ruling on Tuesday, June 20th.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu today, Saraki said he was confident that the appeal court verdict would not be different from that of the CCT as the facts of the case remained the same and the grounds on which the tribunal’s decision was based remain unassailable.

Read the statement below:

Following the decision of the Federal Government to file an appeal against the ruling of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), which upheld the plea of no case submission he made on the 18-count charge of false asset declaration preferred against him, Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, wishes to reiterate his earlier position that he remains unperturbed by the development.

Dr. Saraki is confident that the verdict at the appellate court would not be different from that of the tribunal as the facts of the case remain the same and the grounds on which the decision of the CCT was based remain unassailable.

Anybody who has been following the proceedings and the evidence given by the prosecution witnesses during examination in chief and cross examination should know that if presented before any court of Justice and law, the same outcome as in the CCT would be arrived at. Those who are running commentary on the ruling by the Tribunal and criticizing it are those who are not even familiar with the case and the details coming out of the trial.

That is why Dr. Saraki continues to wonder how desperate some people in government and their collaborators outside have become to pull him down at all cost and by all means up to the point that they do not care if they destroy the institution of the judiciary in the process. That is why they sponsored stories of allegation of bribery in an online publication against the Tribunal judges.

The Senate President seizes this opportunity to call on security agencies to immediately commence investigation on this bribery allegation. It is his views that those who made the allegation should be invited to substantiate their claims.

This same desperation made a man like Prof. Itse Sagay, the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Anti-Corruption (PACAC) to appear on tape admitting in a foreign country that he interfered with the process in the Tribunal when in an unethical manner he was instructing the judge on how to conduct the trial.

Corruption is not just about giving or diverting money. When an official interferes with the judicial process with a view to achieve personal objectives, that is corruption.

The Senate President notes that another sign of desperation by those who want to get him convicted at all cost was the failed antics of the prosecution counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs, who in collusion with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sought to manipulate evidence at the tribunal.

On realising the fundamental flaw in its case as it did not invite the defendant to make any statement at any point in the investigation, the prosecution brought in an agent of the EFCC to tender old statements Saraki made in a totally different and unrelated matter that had nothing to do with false asset declaration.

The prosecution forgot that the letter inviting Saraki to make the tendered statements explicitly mentioned the matter being investigated. At least, there are documents to prove this.

The prosecution tried to circumvent the judicial process by ensuring that the witness did not enter into the witness box so as not to be on oath. However, the tribunal, as it is obvious in its ruling, saw through the dirty trick. It therefore disregarded that piece of evidence and described it as irrelevant and of no value to the case.

If not desperation by the prosecution, why is the EFCC so involved in a case of false asset declaration which is an exclusive preserve of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB)? All the evidence presented during the trial were from the EFCC.

The Commission rendered the CCB a second fiddle player. That is why the only CCB witness presented by the prosecution gave what the tribunal referred to as ‘hearsay evidence’. The CCB chief prosecutor testified that he got his instruction to investigate the case orally. He made his report from the investigation orally. Even the directive to ‘collaborate with EFCC’ on the investigation was given orally, a development the tribunal found strange and unknown to law.

All these antics aimed at perverting the course of justice were obvious throughout the period of the tribunal’s sitting. Though, one is conscious of the fact that the anti-graft agency and its allied bodies are frantically looking for a poster-case to sell its anti-corruption campaign and there is the hunger for conviction in a celebrated case to advertise in the international arena government’s determination to pursue the anti-graft campaign, we implore them to achieve this aim by allowing Justice to take its normal course.

This Appeal against the CCT ruling is nothing but another attempt to grandstand and embark on another media trial without any substance. This is why the Senate President is sure it will be another exercise in futility.

Dr. Saraki has demonstrated his unflinching belief in and respect for the judicial process and its ability to resolve issues relating to fundamental rights of Nigerians. That belief in the judiciary is the basis for his assurance that the position of the CCT that he is not guilty of the charges preferred against him would be sustained in the higher courts.

The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo is presently facing a fiery opposition with the Nigerian Senate even as the Red Chamber portrays a strong indication for his impeachment.

At the plenary session which held yesterday, 3rd July, 2017, the Nigerian Senate outrightly condemned the comment made by the Osinbajo that executive appointments did not require legislative approval based on Section 171 of the constitution, which they interpret to undermine their legislative powers.

While the Acting President sent a letter to the National Assembly for the confirmation of Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, as the Chairman of the National Lottery Commission, the Senate refused ‘until the presidency recognizes the legislative powers.

Senator Eyinanya Abaribe (Abia South)also moved a motion for the impeachment of Acting President Osinbajo, since President Mohammadu Buhari is on medical leave and the Acting President is in Addis Ababa for the African Union Summit and the country cannot be with no leader.

Senator Kabiru Marafa also supported the motion citing the constitution that “if the President is not around, the Vice President should act, and if the Vice President is not around, the Senate President who is number 3 citizen shoukd become the acting President.”

The feud between Kcee and his former label mate, Harrysong, just got messier.
On Wednesday, Harrysong posted a court document showing that Kcee has dragged him to court for violating his fundamental human right. The next day in an interview, his manager said Kcee filed that lawsuit because his career was dead.

In a new chat, Kcee is venting his anger that Harrysong is so ungrateful! The Limpopo singer claimed that Harrysong had no visa on his passport before he came on board, adding that his record label helped to build his self-confidence.

Kcee told Saturday Beats: “When Harrysong was with us, we paid for his video shoots. He never travelled with his money and I am saying that with all confidence. I challenge him to contradict what I am saying.

When I met Harrysong, he had no visa on his passport. We gave him his visas. He travelled business class even when he had yet to release any song under Five Star. He started travelling business class locally and internationally just to build self-esteem and confidence.

We did all that because we wanted him to live like a king as a Five Star artiste. He travelled on a five star level. He shot all his videos internationally and I can show you all the invoices. Most of his videos were shot abroad.”

Warned his former label mate to tread carefully as he had enough evidence to nail him, Kcee said he found it laughable for anyone to say that his career is dead without Harrysong. According to him, he had remained in the Nigerian music industry for over a decade.

He was quick to remind his critics that he won Star Quest with his former singing partner, Presh, without Harrysong’s help. Kcee said that he later went on to sign with Kennis Music where he released three albums with numerous hits without Harrysong’s input.

“Harrysong knows the situation and the condition that he is and I just hope he would be careful. He needs to be careful.
Harrysong never influenced our sound; instead we polished his sound and we added more groove to it. Harrysong is talented but he needs guidance.

For me, I have my own weaknesses and he also has his element. I started as a DJ and I know what the people want and I direct his music. If you ask most of our producers, I changed the direction of his song, Better Pikin.

He sometimes advised in my song; we had a collaborative relationship.. When you work as a team, it does not mean you own everybody; you cannot just write somebody off.

Can you think back to 2002 when I won Star Quest, it was a talent hunt, we wrote songs to win the contest. Asa was part of it. Nigga Raw, Klint The Drunk, The Natives, and a lot of young talents were there, we went through that and won.

Asa was crying when she lost and her father was consoling her, I saw her. Nobody gave us a chance during the contest. I won Star Quest and I was signed under Kennis Music where I recorded about three albums with them; who was writing my songs then?
I recorded hit songs. Now Harrysong is gone and I am due to release my album, who wrote the songs on my album for me? I need some credit.

Because you bring in one or two inputs does not mean you should look down on anybody, it is wrong. We are all human and I deserve some credit. I have been in this industry for a while,” he said.
